Police have charged 28-year-old Gaelynn Kahee after she was allegedly involved in a traffic fatality that occurred in Puna Thursday.

Police have charged 28-year-old Gaelynn Kahee after she was allegedly involved in a traffic fatality that occurred in Puna Thursday.

On Friday, the Hawaii Police Department charged Kahee with third-degree negligent homicide, leaving the scene of an accident involving death or serious bodily injury, and driving without a license.

Police released Kahee from custody after she posted bail, which was set at $6,000.

Authorities ask anyone who might have witnessed the crash to contact Officer Keith Nacis at 961-2339 or call the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.

Those who prefer to remain anonymous may contact the islandwide Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
